The District recognizes those clubs and individuals who have exhibited exemplary performance and dedication in accomplishing the goals of the Club, the District, and Rotary International. These awards are identified below. The criteria for the Presidential Citation is provided by the President of Rotary International. The criteria for the Governor’s Banner and How to Become Club of the year are presented in later sections. (X) indicates determining responsibility.

Neither Presidential Citation is required for the Governor’s Banner

  • Attend District Foundation Seminar
  • Attend District Membership Seminar
  • Maintain Current Club Membership Roster in DaCdb
  • Acquire/Maintain Future Vision Certification
  • Participated in Every Rotarian Every Year
  • Report attendance on time every month to DaCdb
  • Show evidence of Rotary Awareness in the Community
  • Complete a Literacy Project
  • Participate in a Health/Hunger Project
  • Participate in a Water Project
  • Report a Family of Rotary Project held in your club
  • President Elect attended 2010 MAPETS

Each Club President must summarize in writing how their club has met each of the above criteria. This report will be turned in to the Assistant Governor by March 31st.

Each club will be evaluated  by the Governor and Assistant Governor. Banner recipients will be those that have satisfied the above criteria and worked with their AG to achieve the goals set forth by Rotary International President Ray Klinginsmith and District 6150 Governor Owen Lusk.

Note 1. Must meet all requirements for Presidential Citation and Governor’s Banner.

Note 2. For attendance functions, extra points are allowed for the number of members attending up to a maximum of 6.

Note 3. Each Club President will present to the AG’s satisfaction by 3/31/2010 a written report on whether and to what extent they have satisfied the following requirements.

Note 4. All requirements highlighted with Required are necessary to achieve Club of the Year.

  • Required—Attend District Foundation Summer Seminar (Note 2.)
  • Required—Reach Foundation goal per Club Goal Report Form submitted
  • Required—Participate in the Every Rotarian Every Year “ÉREY” campaign
  • Reach a 60% club member level of participation in the EREY campaign
  • Fulfill Polio Pledge
  • Apply for a Future Vision District or Global grant (one point for each grant up to a maximum of 5)
  • Introduced a new Paul Harris Fellow
  • A team participates and pays to play in the Foundation Golf Tournament
  • Club participates as a corporate or hole sponsor in the Foundation Golf Tournament either from the club, a club member, or their business. Paying for a team to play is not considered as a corporate or hole sponsorship.
  • Have a club program presented by the inbound GSE team
  • Club member/s served as host family for the inbound GSE team and/or a Youth Exchange Student
  • Assist with a District or Regional Youth Exchange Program
  • Have a club program on the Rotary Foundation
  • Have a club program on Youth Exchange
  • Have a club program on Hunger/Water Management
  • Attained the Presidential Citation with Distinction
  • Explain any other Foundation Program or Project

  • Required---Attend District Membership Summer Seminar (Note 2.)
  • Required---Achieve a net increase of one member by 3/31/11
  • Conduct a club program on Membership
  • Conduct a goal oriented Membership Campaign
  • Conduct a campaign to recruit young members (Under 30)
  • Induct a new member in an unfilled club classification
  • Number of new members inducted (2 points for each member up to 6)
  • Maintain a 60% attendance record
  • Sponsored or co-sponsored formulation of a new club in the past 2 years
  • Explain any other Membership program or project

  • Required—Submit monthly Secretary reports on time to DaCdb
  • Pay District dues at the Governor’s Official Visit
  • Timely pay club dues to Rotary International (Normally semi-annual)

  • Nominate a member for GSE Team leader
  • Nominate a member for a Rotary International award
  • Submitted Club Planning Guide to District Governor by 7/1/2010
  • Submitted new slate of officers to DaCdb by 12/31/2010
  • Maintain an updated Club History
  • Maintain up to date Club By-laws
  • Timely payment of Foundation Pledges (Prior to 3/31/2011 if possible)
  • Implement/improve Club Leadership plan
