Official visits have started!  I enjoyed visiting with the Rotary Club of Jonesboro University this past week and appreciate PDG Ken Stacks for the great introduction. Thanks to Dr. Joe Stallings, President and all the members of Jonesboro University for the very warm welcome.  It was a great start to what looks to be a great year.  The District Governor’s visits are for designed as a tool to provide an opportunity to ask for guidance with challenges and successes facing your club.   I look forward to this week’s visits. .

Reminder this week:  More EXCITING NEWS!
RI President to visit Little Rock – don’t miss this opportunity

I would like to encourage each of you to come to Little Rock on Friday.  This will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to hear directly from a Rotary International President.   I appreciate the Rotary Club of Little Rock for sponsoring this event.

RI President Ray Klinginsmith will be the featured speaker at a Celebration Luncheon in Little Rock on Friday, July 23, 2010 for the 2010 South Central Rotary Youth Exchange (SCRYE) Summer Conference. Sponsored by District 6150, the Celebration Luncheon will be held at the DoubleTree Hotel in Little Rock.  RI Director Fred Hahn will be joining RI President Klinginsmith and RI Vice President Thorfinnson at this meeting!

Doors will open at 11:30 AM and the meeting will conclude at 1:00 PM. All Rotarians, Ambassadorial Scholars and Youth Exchange Students past and present, are invited.

Register for the luncheon online here.

2010 District Seminars

Four District Seminars are scheduled in locations convenient for all District 6150 Rotarians.  Each will include sessions on four tracks - The Rotary Foundation, Membership, Vocational Service & Youth Programs.

Your Rotary club should send at least four individuals to a session close by so each track will have a representative in attendance.  Having more members attend will benefit your club plus your club will receive additional points toward the Club of the Year and Governor's Banner recognition.

Additional information and online registration at www.Rotary6150.org/go/seminars.

Or, click on one of the sessions below to register now!

District 6150 New Members

No new members this week….Recruiting new members is a vital part of growing your club.  Every Rotary club needs a well-crafted membership development action plan to stay dynamic and effective. Check out the District Website for information and resources on membership development, recruitment and retention.
