ATTN: Club Presidents, Secretaries, Executives, Asst. Governors, PDGs & District Leaders
It is time to nominate candidates for District Governor for the 2012-2013 Rotary year. The deadline to submit nominations is November 30, 2009.
As a reminder, DGE Owen Lusk will serve as DG in 2010-11, DGN Paul Roberts will serve as DG in 2011-12.
Include with your letter of nomination, a statement that the nomination has been approved by the club's board of directors. Also, please include details of the nominee's Rotary experience and offices held, plus a complete personal biography. A form is available to assist you in providing all of the necessary information here.
Each club has the opportunity to submit one nominee.
The basic criteria are: (more information here) A member of a functioning club in good standing.
- A member of a functioning club in good standing.
- A past Club President.
- Demonstrated willingness, commitment and ability, both physically and otherwise to fulfill the duties.
- Nominee has been a Rotarian for seven or more years at the time he/she takes office.
- The nomination must be approved by the club's board of directors.

Please note that it is not permitted to "campaign" for this office, therefore it is essential that you look closely at the leaders in your club who are also past presidents, and approach them about serving as District Governor Nominee.
Nominees will be interviewed by the nominating committee.
