Lesley Pruitt, Past Ambassadorial Scholar, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Jonesboro University in District 6150, published an article in the Australian Journal of Peace Studies entitled, They Drop Beats, Not Bombs: Music and Dance in Youth Peace-Building

A Grubbs, Arkansas native, Leslie was an ASU Wilson Scholar where she received her BA in political science in 2004. After graduating, she worked as a legislative correspondent for Senator Harry Reid. In 2005 she moved to Australia to complete her masters of international studies in peace and conflict resolution at University of Queensland (UQ).  Following that, she worked at the Brookings Institution in Washington, DC, to plan an international education policy conference. She is a PhD candidate at the UQ.

Jonesboro University club member and past Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar, Jerry Smith says, "we are so proud to have sponsored Leslie as a Rotary Scholar, we helped set her on her academic and career path in peace and conflict resolution with our Ambassadorial Scholar award".

The journal can be accessed on the web here.
