| |
What happened to the Rotary International Club Administration Software (RI-CAS)?
DaCdb Features and Costs:
Everything in this first list is available now at no cost to clubs (the District is paying these fees) to use these basic system features.
The features included are:
- Simplify record keeping and maintenance of membership roster for club, district and Rotary International in one step. Eliminates duplicate work to notify District and RI of membership changes. (Club secretaries love this feature!)
- Membership directories including member photos, reports, statistics, dashboard, etc.
- Secure online access to member and club information (members can update their own contact and basic information),
- Printing name badges, mailing labels, committee rosters, business cards, etc.
- Mobile website accessing club and district level information, that works across on iPhone/IPad, Android/Galaxy, BlackBerry and other portable devices
- Managing club committees (includes ability to easily email committee members, create and print committee rosters and upload, manage and share committee documents)
- Pmail system allows individual personalized emails to be sent to one member, groups, officers, board or the entire membership
- Club calendar – great way to promote weekly programs, club events, club fund raisers automatically appear on the district calendar which is good for promoting fund raisers to all Rotarians in the district
- Uploading your club bulletins so they are available online with option to automatically distribute bulletins to club when uploaded using the "Notify on Upload" feature,
- Online registration for meetings and events (your club can even set up the system to accept credit cards online – set up costs apply here) this feature is built into the calendar system.
- Quickly and accurately submit Rotary Foundation contributions collected from members with proper credit to each members' TRF account using the Rotary Foundation Transmittal Report.
- and more.
Training and support for the features listed above provided by Rotary District 6150 District Communications Officers. See the Help tab in DaCdb for contact information.
Rotary clubs are encouraged to consider these optional Premium Features:
- Conversion of current RI-CAS database to DaCdb is a one-time charge of $200 – we can discuss this at your convenience to see if it is something your club will want to do.
- Premium features for clubs are available À la carte or as a package:
- Weekly attendance entry / maintenance – with this system you record each week’s attendance, make ups, excused absences, set up members who are on extended Leaves of Absence and at the end of the month one-click is all that’s needed to submit monthly membership and attendance report to district. Features include optional bar code scanning, off line attendance and full integration with the Dues Billing module. (download a flyer with more information about the Weekly Attendance Premium feature.)
- Dues Billing / Invoicing – Most clubs can create member dues invoices including Pmailing each member their invoice with just a few mouse clicks. This system links attendance and billing so even complex billing scenarios are easily handled by the system. (download a flyer on the Dues / Invoicing Premium feature)(Clubs can now accept dues payments online with a low cost gateway / merchant account.)
- A standard CLUB web site, using your CLUB NAME, hosted on their domain name Rotary-Clubs.org. So, the
Rotary Club of Heber Springs club web site is named: http://HeberSprings.Rotary-Clubs.org
Or, you could register your club's OWN domain name, and still use the DaCdb transactions to populate the web pages for you. There is a monthly hosting fee to have your own domain name hosted on their server. Visit the www.Rotary-Clubs.org web site for more information about this Premium Feature.
If your club has its own web site, you can embed live data from DaCdb into your site. For additional information, contact a District Communications Officer.
- Individual premium features cost $3 / week / feature (billed annually). If you want all three premium features, the entire package is $349/year. The standard club web site one-time set up fee is $197. More advanced web sites are available - contact Mike Thacker for more information on these options. Special pricing for large clubs > 150 members or smaller clubs <= 30 members click here for more info.
All fees for Premium Features are paid directly to DaCdb's parent company "Simply The Best" and include training and support directly from DaCdb.

What Happened to RI-CAS (Rotary's Club Administration Software?
Rotary International discontinued its support and distribution of
RI-CAS ” in December 2008. Support will be available from a private
contractor for a fee. No new updates or releases will be available and other bugs in the
software will not be fixed. This is why clubs in more than 100
Districts in the U.S. are now using DaCdb (District and Club Database software).
Plus there's no software to install on your computer and you can
securely access the system from any Internet connected computer (or
smart phone)! Rotary District 6150 implemented DaCdb in July 2008. If
your club is not currently using this system or is not fully utilizing
its features, please review the information above or contact the District Communications Officer for details. updated 08/24/2011
