Rotary International discontinues RI-CAS
(June 28, 2008) The Rotary International Club Administration Software (RI-CAS) that has been available free of charge to Rotary clubs by Rotary International for the past several years will be discontinued after December, 2008. This decision by RI has created a flurry of activity for many Rotary clubs and districts around the world and ours has been no exception.
After reviewing the various alternatives, Rotary District 6150 will convert to an online system called District and Club Database (DaCdb).
This system was designed and built by a Past District Governor in Rotary District 7710 (North Carolina) and is now being used by thousands of Rotary clubs representing over half of all Rotary Districts in the U.S. There are many exceptional features built into the new system that will make it an effective replacement for RI-CAS.
DaCdb offers a one-time migration process for clubs who choose to convert to DaCdb and your district leadership will be here to assist in this process.
You can learn more about this new system at http://www.dacdb.com/

I am happy that a viable option has been found. If we could get all of our clubs to use it we would be in good shape. |

Club secretaries will be receiving additional information on how this change will impact clubs within the next few days. |
