Literacy Project Reports Needed

End of year Literacy Report Needed by April 4
Dictionary Literacy Project

From:  Literacy Co-Chairs, Dick Blankenbeker & June Morse

We know Literacy has been a major emphasis of your clubs and one of your service goals for this year.  Thank you for your efforts to improve the literacy of children and adults.

We would like to celebrate our clubs' successes at addressing the problems of illiteracy with a Literacy display and report at District Conference in Memphis, April 18 & 19.

If your club has not completed a literacy project, it is not too late.  Information on The Dictionary Project, Imagination Library and the Black Stallion project are on the District 6150 website www.Rotary6150.org/go/literacy .

Please submit reports of your literacy activities (projects, number of Rotarians involved and number of schools and students impacted) along with pictures to j_morse@neaclinic.comor mail to June Morse, 2912 Bermuda, Jonesboro, Ar 72401.  To be included in the literacy update at District Conference we need to receive your information by April 4.

ALSO do not forget to include your literacy activities in your club recognition summary. This must be submitted to your AG before March 31 if your club is to be considered for a literacy award.

Thank you again for the way you have Shared Rotary through your literacy efforts.
