Governor's Weekly Communiqué

Rotary International District 6150

Volume 1, Issue 2

To: Rotary District 6150 Club Presidents
cc: Secretaries, Execs, AGs, Aides, DG, DGE, DGN, PDGs

This is the 2nd of a weekly communication entitled "Governor's Weekly Communiqué". It is named in honor of our 2007-2008 Group Study Exchange with France. You should receive this on Sunday Evenings.

The email is designed to be of the utmost convenience to each of you as you serve your club. You will notice the email is in a plain text and I will make an effort not to add attachments to these weekly communications.

I hope you have had a productive week as you continue to implement your Rotary plans.

Do not forget that the deadline for the Planning Guide for Effective Clubs was July 1, 2007.

***Two very useful and important meetings NEXT WEEKEND-

Presidential Membership Conference in Nashville, TN is one of the 7 locations. If you cannot send someone to this venue consider the other 6 dates and locations

South Central Regional Youth Exchange Summer Meeting in Little Rock-it would help you to send one club member to learn more about Rotary's Youth programs. See this link for more information: http://www.scrye.org/meetings/summer/Index.htm

Official visits begin with Marion on July 18, 2007 at 12 noon. Please remember to organize the Official Visit Book Drive PRIOR to our visit to your club.

The Star Club Program is one addition to club recognition. Clubs will be designated as "Star Clubs" when a contribution of $100 per member to The Rotary Foundation Annual Fund is reached. Each club accomplishing this will receive a "Star" for their club banner and each member will receive a "Star" lapel pin. We need for each of our clubs to be a Star Club!

REMEMBER $100 per member is only 25 cents a day and 2 quarters on meeting day. I hope you will use the film canisters to meet this modest goal.
