Rotary District 6150 Foundation Committee

District Rotary Foundation Committee has seven sub-committees; Scholarships, Group Study Exchange, Grants, Polio Plus, Alumni, Annual Giving and Permanent Fund

I took over the position of Grants Sub-committee Chair in 2003-2004. The members of this committee the District Rotary Foundation Committee Chair, Immediate Past District Governor, Current District Governor, the District Governor Elect, the District Governor Nominee. and all Assistant Governors.

 

We have an operating procedure manual and we meet as needed primarily to review grant requests.  The grant requests we receive can include District Simplified Grants, Matching Grants, and Individual Grants

 

The following grants have been awarded by our district.

When Rotarians make a contribution to The Rotary Foundation, 50%comes back to the district as DDF (District Designated Funds) in three years and the district allocates these funds to various Foundation Sub-committees.  The important requirements for making these grants are active Rotarian participation and fulfilling reporting requirements. Grants will not be made to purchase land or buildings, renovation of structure, salaries or travel expenses.
