| December is Family Month
This is the time of year many of us are blessed with the opportunities to gather family and friends together in seasonal celebrations. December is the month Rotary designates to focus our year-round emhasis on the importance of family. Consider scheduling a "family friendly" program during the holidays when children are out of school or hold an event that celebrates family this month.

Rotary Shelter Box provides a home for residents of Waveland, Mississippi

Shelter Box-U.S.A (a not for profit organization founded by and currently operated by Rotarians) is inviting U.S. Rotarians and clubs to participate in a THANKSGIVING DOLLAR DRIVE to help support their Katrina response.
The recommended method to conduct the THANKSGIVING DOLLAR DRIVE is:
Announce about the THANKSGIVING DOLLAR DRIVE at your next club meeting and distribute copies of the THANKSGIVING DOLLAR DRIVE sheet to members. Include information in your newsletter. Ask club members to support the THANKSGIVING DOLLAR DRIVE with a minimum contribution of $1, to be collected at the next meeting. Collect for the THANKSGIVING DOLLAR DRIVE at your next meeting. Forward the funds collected to Shelter Box-U.S.A. at:
Shelter Box-U.S.A. 8374 Market Street #203 Lakewood Ranch, FL 34202
Notify me of the amount collected for THANKSGIVING DOLLAR DRIVE so I can compile a report for DG Marilyn.
DG Marilyn supports the THANKSGIVING DOLLAR DRIVE and club donations in addition to member donations are welcomed. Shelter Box-U.S.A. responded immediately to the need in Louisiana and Mississippi. Now it’s our turn to respond and help fund some of the unfunded Shelter Boxes currently providing a home and shelter for our neighbors in Louisiana and Mississippi.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Happy Thanksgiving!
