Jake Morse is a native of Osceola where he was an Eagle Scout. Rotary first impacted his life when members of the Osceola Rotary Club co-signed notes for a student loan for him to attend college. He has a BS degree in Math from Ouachita Baptist University and a BS degree in Accounting from Arkansas State University.

Jake joined the Rotary Club of Jonesboro in 1980. He is a charter member of the Rotary Club of Jonesboro-University and has perfect attendance for the past 13 years. He has served on his club’s Board of Directors, as Club Secretary, Vice President and President, and chaired the annual fundraiser “The Pot of Gold”, as well as other committees. He was named Rotarian of the year in 1996-1997.

At the district level, he has served as an Assistant District Governor, served on the GSE, Golf Tournament, and District Conference Committees. In 2003-2004 he will chair the District 6150 Polio Eradication Committee and Strategic Planning Committee, and Co-Chair the Centennial Celebration Committee. He is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow and was named Assistant District Governor of the year 2001-2002, and Rotarian of the year in 2002-2003.

Jake currently serves on the United Way of Greater Jonesboro Board of Directors and the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce – Associated Industries of Arkansas Board of Directors. Past community service includes the Board of Directors of the Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce, Dr. John T. Gray School, American Red Cross, and First United Methodist Church, where he is a Sunday School teacher, and trustee.

He is president of Morse Company, Inc., a bottling company producing Fasweet Liquid Sweetener and Aqua Clear custom labeled bottled water. He was selected Arkansas Small Business Person of the year in 1982 by the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Jake is married to June Bridger Morse, HopeCircle Volunteer Coordinator at NEA Clinic Foundation. They have three daughters. Margie Pulley, Conway, AR, Marcia Rizzardi, Little Rock, AR and Melissa Dailey, Jonesboro, AR and seven grandchildren. June is a member of the Rotary Club of Jonesboro, a Paul Harris Fellow and was Team Leader for the GSE Team from District 6150 to Australia in 1994. Jake and June are benefactors of the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International and attended the International Rotary Conventions in Indianapolis, San Antonio and Brisbane.

His hobbies include golf, watercolor painting, photography and travel.
