2005-6 District Governor's Official Visit Schedule

Purpose:

The governor's official visit, as required in the RI Bylaws 15.090., is defined as the personal visit of the district governor to each Rotary club in the district for the purpose of:

• Focusing attention on important Rotary issues.
• Providing special attention to weak or struggling clubs.
• Motivating Rotarians to participate in service activities.
• Personally recognizing the outstanding contributions of Rotarians in the district.

Such visits are to take place at a time that maximizes the impact of the governor's presence.

Visit Agenda

Please do not schedule another program or speaker on the day of the District Governor’s Official Visit.  The program will be presented by the D.G.  If you have any items such as the awarding of Paul Harris Fellows, induction of new members or other significant events within your Rotary Club, consider scheduling these events during the District Governor’s Official Visit.  She will be honored to assist your club in highlighting these important events.

7:00 or 7:30 a.m. club meetings

Agenda evening before:

4 - 5:00 p.m.          D.G. and A.G. will meet with Club officers
(president, president-elect, secretary, treasurer, exec. sec./dir.)

5 - 6:00 p.m.          Meeting with entire board and committee chairs

Club meeting:

7- 8:00 a.m.           D.G. will present the program at regular club meeting
or 7:30 – 8:80 a.m.

11:30 a.m. club meetings:

Agenda:

 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.   D.G. and A.G. will meet with Club officers
(president, president-elect, secretary, treasurer, exec. sec./dir.)

10:30 - 11:30 a.m.  Meeting with entire board and committee chairs

11:30 -  1:00 p.m.  D.G. will present the program at regular club meeting

12 o’clock noon club meetings:

10 - 11:00 a.m.      D.G. and A.G. will meet with Club officers

11 - 12:00 noon     Meet with entire board and committee chairs

12 - 1:00 p.m.        D.G. will present the program at regular club meeting

5:30 p.m. club meetings

4:30 - 5:30 p.m.     Meeting with entire board and committee chairs

5:30 - 6:30 p.m.     D.G. will present the program at regular club meeting
