Please submit your club's nomination to Immediate Past Governor Judy Sims at judysims@gmail.com or 501.376.9776.
The candidate for District governor must at the time of taking office:
- Be a member in good standing of a club in the district

- Demonstrated a willingness, commitment and ability, physically and otherwise, to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the office
- Demonstrate knowledge of the qualifications, duties and responsibilities of the office
Be certified by the club secretary in the form of a resolution naming the suggested candidate and adopted at a regular meeting of the club. (A club may suggest a candidate who is a member of another club with the concurrence of the other club.)
Other desirable qualities include:
- Having participated at the district level as Assistant governor, Director or committee chair
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage the duties along with other commitments
Please remember that nominees should not solicit the nominating committee or campaign. The nominating committee handles all nominations confidentially. The 4 Way Test as always serves us well.
