Over 90% of child passenger seats are installed incorrectly possibly resulting in injury to the child in the event of a vehicular accident. At CPS inspections caregivers are instructed on how to properly install car seats.

Rotary Club of Cleburne County Child Passenger Safety Inspector Course
June 13 - 17, 2006
32-hour classroom course to train CPS inspectors to teach parents and caregivers how to properly install child car seats and to keep the child safe during vehicular accidents. About 98% of child seats are installed incorrectly.
An inspection will be held on the last day, Saturday, June 17, at Wal-Mart in Heber Springs.
Centennial Child Passenger Seat Inspection Rotary Club of Cleburne County
Location: Wal-Mart Parking Lot
The leading cause of unintentional injury and related deaths in motor vehicle collisions is improper or no use of a child safety seat. Nationwide a child dies every 3-5 hours from vehicle collison injuries. At the event, child safety seats will be loaned free of charge and caregivers will be taught how to correctly install their seat and protect their child.

The Rotary Club of Cleburne County meetings on Thursday, January 5 & 12, 2006 will be held at the Rustic Inn instead of the Red Apple Inn due to renovations at Red Apple. Click for map.
The first annual Rotary New Year's Eve Ball will be held at the Aktins Hall in Paragould. The event will be a fund raiser and social, tickets are $50 per person, which includes a nice, seated dinner, dancing with music from a great band out of Memphis, a champagne fountain and much more. All are welcome.

Volunteers are needed to travel to Lacombe, Louisiana through December 31, 2005. Volunteers will help clean out and rebuild flooded homes of victims of hurricane Katrina.
