| RI Headquarters Visit District Event | | Every Rotarian should visit the Rotary International World Headquarters in Evanston, Illinois at least once. Meeting with RI staff, learning more about the programs of RI and getting to see the historic Room 711 are just a few of the highlights of this trip.
Hotel Cost: From $99- $112 per night, depending on which hotel we choose (both are within a short walk of RIHQ).
Flight Cost: A round trip flight from LR about $285 and from Memphis, about $234.

| Child Safety Seat Inspection-Cleburne County Club Event 10:00am - 2:00pm | |
Location: Wal-Mart at Heber Springs
Over 90% of child passenger seats are installed incorrectly possibly resulting in injury to the child in the event of a vehicular accident. At CPS inspections caregivers are instructed on how to properly install car seats.

| Club Nominations for DG Due District Event | | District Governor Nominations for 2010-2011 are being accepted and the deadline is November 30, 2007. Does your club have a potential nominee?
Please submit your club's nomination to Immediate Past Governor Judy Sims at judysims@gmail.com or 501.376.9776.
The candidate for District governor must at the time of taking office:
- Be a member in good standing of a club in the district
- Have full qualifications for such membership and the integrity of the Rotarian's classification must be without question
- Have been a member of a functioning club, one that has no outstanding indebtedness to RI or to the district at the close of the year preceeding
- Have served as a club president for a full term
- Demonstrated a willingness, commitment and ability, physically and otherwise, to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the office
- Demonstrate knowledge of the qualifications, duties and responsibilities of the office
Be certified by the club secretary in the form of a resolution naming the suggested candidate and adopted at a regular meeting of the club. (A club may suggest a candidate who is a member of another club with the concurrence of the other club.)
Other desirable qualities include:
- Having participated at the district level as Assistant governor, Director or committee chair
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage the duties along with other commitments
Please remember that nominees should not solicit the nominating committee or campaign. The nominating committee handles all nominations confidentially. The 4 Way Test as always serves us well. |
